What you’ll learn

- · Use synced read-and-listen (Morph advantage)
- · Verify all documents transferred successfully
The playbook
- 1
Back Up Your Voice Dream Documents
Open Voice Dream app → Export all documents. Voice Dream lets you save files locally. Download to iPhone Files or email to yourself. Save to computer ~/Downloads.
- 2
Check Voice Dream Settings
Note your preferred TTS voice, speed, highlighting style, and any saved lists. You'll replicate these in Morph (which has equivalent settings).
- 3
Convert Documents to EPUB if Needed
Voice Dream supports PDF, EPUB, and text. If PDFs: Convert via Calibre to EPUB for better Morph compatibility. Already EPUB: Skip this step.
- 4
Import into Morph
Open Morph app → Library → '+' → 'Import from Files'. Select EPUBs, PDFs, or text files. They sync to your library.
- 5
Set Up TTS Voice and Speed
Open a document → Speaker icon → Choose TTS voice. Voice Dream uses premium voices; Morph uses ElevenLabs/Google/Apple—slightly different but comparable. Set speed to match your Voice Dream preference.
- 6
Enable Synced Read-and-Listen
Open document → 'Read + Listen' ON. This is what Voice Dream doesn't offer: simultaneous text + narration. Synced mode is faster and more engaging.
- 7
Recreate Your Organization
In Voice Dream, you may have lists or folders. Create equivalent Morph reading lists. This takes 10-15 minutes but ensures easy document finding.
- 8
Test Document Quality
Open first document → Listen to 5 minutes with TTS. Check formatting (is text extracted correctly?). If issues, retry with Calibre conversion.
- 9
Download for Offline Reading
Select important documents → Download (cloud icon). TTS narration caches locally for offline access (same as Voice Dream offline feature).
- 10
Cancel Voice Dream Subscription
Open Voice Dream app → Settings → Manage Subscription → Delete (cancel). On iOS: Settings → Subscriptions → Voice Dream → Cancel.
Common mistakes
✗Not exporting all documents before canceling Voice Dream
→Export everything first. After cancel, you lose easy export access.
✗Expecting Voice Dream's premium TTS voices to sound identical in Morph
→Different TTS engines. Voices differ. Test in Morph first.
✗Not converting PDFs to EPUB—relying on raw PDF TTS in Morph
→EPUB conversion improves text extraction and TTS quality. Use Calibre.
✗Forgetting that Voice Dream is iOS-only, Morph is iOS + Android + Web
→Morph's multi-device sync is actually an advantage over Voice Dream.
✗Not testing synced read-and-listen—staying listen-only out of habit
→Synced is Morph's main advantage. Test for 10 minutes to feel the difference.
